AME churches across the state of South Carolina observed heart health for women on Sunday February 18, 2007. Every member in the over 600 congregations were asked to wear something red and share health information relation to heart health, prevention, education, screenings, risk assessments and more. The program kicked off it's 2007 campaign with a training on January 27, 2007 in partnership with the American Heart Association at the Moncks Corner AME Church hosted by Rev. Richard Harkness. Participants prepared for Go Red For Women, Search Your Heart and Power To End Stroke Campaign where Stroke Ambassadors were pinned in a pinning ceremony led by Rosetta Swinton, AME Director of Health & Regina Fleenor, Heart and Stroke Director for the Carolinas of the American Heart Association.
